I absolutely love the curries from Mumtazjee. The best curry in Rotherham. Make it just like I like it and not like some places where every curry tastes the same. My dad loves the hot Vindaloo but I'm more of a korma guy.

Rotherham is not known for great food places...but then I found Mumtazjee! A few people have told me it was good and I finally got to visit on a Saturday night with my wife and a couple of friends.
The place has an excellent open kitchen that gives some fantastic aromas as soon as you enter. We received a warm welcome and the front of the take away where we sat and waited for our food was spotlessly clean, bright and comfortable.
We studied the extensive menu and ordered 2 x Lamb Tikka, one special kebab meal, chicken tikka mughlai, lamb handi, along with nan’s and rice. At this point we were looking to add more to the order but the guy behind the desk advised we would probably find we had ordered plenty. I'm pleased he did this as we later found the portion sizes are very generous!
The curries were of excellent quality - fresh, tender lamb and well spiced without overdoing it on the heat. Also couldn't fault the nan and rice. The special kebab was to die for. The chilli sauce was just right, not too hot. Overall, we all had a great experience and will be returning soon.

I have never had mumtazjee and my husband has not had one in 13 years. We said it was best indian food we have ever had. My husband said it was exactly the same from 13 years ago. We will defo be ordering again. Best indian in rotherham.
